Carol of the Bat

from Batmas 2012 by Matthew Moore and Jake Sand

about

One part "O Little Town of Bethlehem," one part "God Rest You Merry, Gentlemen," all tribute to the savior born to us on Batmas. Also, jingle bells are awesome.

lyrics

O little town of Gotham, where is born this very hour
An ordinary babe without a single super power
Who'll grow one day to wear a mask and make the villains cower

CHORUS
O the Batman will watch over us all
Over us all
O the Batman will watch over us all

When Joker tries to kill us with an acid spitting rose
Or Penguin with a saber that is longer than his nose
He'll sock them on the jaw and then he'll strike a hero's pose

CHORUS

Should Two-Face flip a coin and have it come down on his head
Or Scarecrow loose a poison that will fill the town with dread
He'll narrowly escape though we all will have thought him dead

CHORUS

No danger he won't face, no foe too strong for him to fight
With Robin by his side or even Batgirl if it's tight
He'll solve the riddle, save the day, then fade into the night

CHORUS

When we turn on the signal, he'll come dashing from his cave
He'll thrash the enemy but never send them to the grave
It's sad his parents have to die so that we might be saved

CHORUS
